What is propolis?

It is a product made from resinous, gummy and balsamic substances, collected by bees, from plant buds and flowers, to which bees add salivary secretions, wax and pollen for its final preparation. The composition of propolis can vary according to the vegetation from which the bees collect it; It can also vary depending on the country's seasons and environmental conditions of the fauna and flora present near the bee hives. Our propolis comes from apiaries located in the Central-West region of the State of Minas Gerais, the birthplace of green propolis in Brazil, whose native flora is rich in wild rosemary (Baccharis Dracunculifolia). Propolis, by bees, is used as protection in the hive, sealing the entrances in defense of the colony. Propolis also helps maintain its temperature, prevents the entry of wind and rain, in addition to inhibiting the invasion and infestation of microorganisms such as viruses, bacteria and fungi, that is, using propolis, bees are able to isolate this internal environment. , contributing to its survival.

Organic Propolis

Bee Propolis Brasil's organic propolis is produced in apiaries with organic certification, whose native flora is also composed of rosemary. (Baccharis Dracunculifolia).

In our case, organic products are produced from beehives that are kept in areas free of synthetic pesticides and herbicides, in georeferenced areas of three kilometers. For products like honey, we use natural pest and disease control methods, such as creating healthy hives and also using good manufacturing practices, utensils and other materials that belong in apiaries and hives. Furthermore, all organic products from Bee Propolis Brasil are certified and guarantee that production practices meet the organic standards established for both national and international marketing.
